Week 1: -8 pounds
Week 2: -2 pounds
Week 3: 0 (boo!)
Week 4: -5 pounds
Week 5: -1 pound
Week 6 : -5 pounds
Week 7: -1 pound
Week 8 (7/20 because I left for vacation):  -2 pounds
Week 9 (7/30): 0 (nothing gained on vacation!)
Week 10: -3 pounds
Week 11: -2 pounds
Week 12: -3 pounds
Week 13: +1 pound

Total lost: 32 31 pounds

Well hell. I had a bad feeling about this week and I was right. Mr. Scale says I gained a pound this week. #^*$#^! What am I going to do to fix this next week?

  • GO GROCERY SHOPPING! I ate out the majority of the week, silly me. I know from previous experience when I eat out for dinners especially, it never pans out like I want it to. Things that may seem “clean” and “lowcarb” actually can have hidden sugars, flours, cornstarches, etc.
  • JUST SAY NO! to beer. I drank a good amount of Michelob Ultra this week. Problem is, your body goes to burn the alcohol first, so fat takes the back seat. No matter how lowcarb MichUltra is, if you drink 5 of them in 1 night, you’ve had more than half your carbs consumed for the day. So friends, do me a favor and don’t let me enjoy a cold one this week.
  • WATER WATER WATER! I haven’t done well on my water consumption at all this week. And by not well, I mean nearly none at all. Yesterday I drank a little over half a gallon in a 2 hour period because I was trying to play “catch-up.” Doesn’t work that way.

On happier notes- because of my devestation of the weight GAIN this week, I measured myself. Here are the totals, from when I first started my journey 13 weeks ago:

Neck: -0.75 inches
Wrist: -0.5 inches
Bust: -3.5 inches
Band (under bust): -4.5 inches
Waist: -6 inches
Hips: -5.25 inches
Upper Arm: -3.25 inches

TOTAL INCHES LOST: 23.75!!! :D

    Isn’t it tough sometimes being a woman? It seems our weight fluctuates every second! I bet tomorrow you will be down 3 pounds or something like that. :) I have the hardest time keeping up with the water also.

    Congrats on the inches, and for the 31 pounds you have lost! That’s awesome, girl!! And way to stay positive about how to fix your gain!

    I know how you feel. I’ve been yo-yoing between weight loss and weight gain for eight years now. It’s only been this summer that I’ve started exercising super intensely, and even so, it’s still very common to see the scale going the wrong way. :/ Thanks for sharing your ups and downs with us!
