Fat, Fit Girl at the Gym

Happy Saturday!

Today is Biggest Loser day in Louisville, and I really, really appreciate everyone’s comments and discussions from the post I wrote about my situation with it.  I completely understand both sides: those who are supportive of the decision and those who are telling me I’m crazy- I completely get it! In the end though, I am sticking to my guns and not going. I truly feel this is the right decision for me at this time.

Anyway, this morning I had a session with Trainer Rob. He took me through a new weight training program that I can integrate into my workouts. I really like it! Check out the video of a few moves from the gym.

You know what’s interesting? I usually CRINGE when I see these kinds of videos. Today? Nah. I know I worked hard, and no matter what I looked like in the video, it’s a snapshot in time of my progress, and it’s something to be PROUD of and not ashamed of.

WTG girl! Looking good! I love doing any type of activity with weights on the gym ball. It helps work your core that much more!

you're doing amazing! I hear ya about the video and how it IS a snapshot. I love knowing that it's where I am NOW, not forever.

Hey, it's now how trainer Rob talks through each of the exercises and explains why to do things a certain way! Very helpful and cool video! Not to mention, it's great motivation. One of your earlier posts got me back in the gym after 3-4 weeks away. I actually went every single day this week…a record!

Thanks again for your posts, you're awesome and a motivation to a lot of people if the comments are any indication!

I feel like i just got a mini training session! This is fun to watch because I am a similar size and some other videos show the “skinny” girls on those balls doing crazy things that look like I would break myself if I tried. Keep posting these, and keep up with the good work, Im right behind you :)

P.S. Any tips on where to get the cute workout clothes?

Why do you cringe at this type of video? I think it's awesome! Show off your training! :) You are doing great!

Wow, am glad you posted that video! It really shows how hard you are working and also the dedication you have to getting fit! (It’s also a reminder that I’ve been slacking in the fitness area and need to get on-the-ball..) Keep it up!

Oh my God! You become more of an inspiration to me every day! I filmed 2 videos od me working out with my trainer doing kick boxing stuff. When he sent them to me I freaked out, said some horrible things about myself and refused to let anyone see them! What do I see when I watch your video…someone doing a kick ass workout and getting fitter and stronger, thought it was really cool! Keep up the amazing work!!
