This month I’m participating in #reverb10. Every day a new prompt is issued and I will write my response. The goal is to reflect on 2010 and manifest what’s next in 2011. Want to learn more? Visit www.reverb10.com.
I'm 4 days behind, so I'm playing catch-up! Here's knocking out 2 prompts in 1 post.
Prompt: Action. When it comes to aspirations, its not about ideas. It's about making ideas happen. What's your next step?
I think I need to let out a big “le sigh” on this one, because I'm really great at ideas but I get hung up before actually making them happen. I actually have a few ideas right now, but before I make them happen I tend to overanalyze and get stuck in the details. I like plans and strategy. I like to have all my little ducks lined up so I can execute flawlessly.
Of course, flawless execution never happens. No matter how much pre-planning is done, not everything goes to plan. I tend to be one who is wound too tight, so for 2011 I want to make more ideas happen, and live with a little less anxiety and worry about the “what-if's.”
Prompt: Appreciate. What's the one thing you have come to appreciate most in the past year? How do you express gratitude for it?
Support. I appreciate support so.freakin.much. I have cried about my support publicly, because it's so damn amazing that people CARE (and seriously? I'm NOT a crier.)
I hope that people know how much I appreciate them. New friends, old friends, blog lurkers, tweeters, Facebook friends, Trainer Rob, LAC, hubs… everyone. I have tried to be very conscious this year of saying “THANK YOU” more often. Not only just saying it, but having deep intention behind the words. I get messages about how people are thanking me for writing something, and it's funny because I just want to thank them right back for such kindness. It's one big love-fest, really.
