For the most part, I'm pretty positive around here, and in life in general. Sometimes though, things just don't click like I want them to. Sometimes, it's a struggle to get out of bed at 5:30am and get to the gym in the cold.
I've done (and blogged about) a lot of milestones in my weight loss journey recently.
- 100 pounds lost
- swimming 1 mile
- having my “aha” moment about “the chase vs. chasing” weight loss (this is my favorite post at the moment)
This week, however, things just aren't clicking. I'm not firing on all cylinders. My energy has dropped, my appetite is huge and my motivation isn't as easy to come by.
So this week, I'm simply riding out the rough patch. I'm doing my workouts, even if they seem 10 times harder. I'm trying very hard to eat well, even though something is telling me I'm hungry.
“If losing weight were easy, everyone would do it.” This is what I remind myself as I put down the extra helping of chicken or as I lay in bed cursing my alarm.
So, that's that. Stick with me till I get my mojo back 🙂
