I am not disappointed as you might think. After starting my half-marathon training this week, my legs are a little swollen and my muscles are achy. I feel really strong and centered. I can look back at the week and confidently say I feel good about my choices. I think my body needs to adjust to these longer workouts.
Non scale victories (NSVs) this week:
- Deciding to do the half-marathon and raise $2,500 for Parkinson's Disease research
- 4 mile indoor training on treadmill, despite being in a funk
- 7.22 mile training walk with Holli
- Started a Running 101 5K class at Lexington Athletic Club which resulted in me yesterday running 3, half mile segments. I've yet to run that far continuously yet, and I really surprised myself
