New Gwynnie Bee Arrivals

It’s time to show off some more new arrivals from Gwynnie Bee! Gwynnie Bee is like Netflix for clothing. You create a virtual closet on their site and fill it with items you want. You can choose from 1-10 pieces out at a time, and when you send one item back in the pre-paid package, they send out another item from your closet. Easy! Check out all my other Gwynnie Bee posts here.

If you’ve seen my plus size fashion posts before, you know I have a current obsession with two things: sequins and lace. So it should come as no surprise that I selected one of each in this latest shipment. I also selected a staple dress that could be worn casually and more dressy.

Sequin ASOS Curve Tank from Gwynnie Bee

Sequin tank by ASOS via Gwynnie Bee (Size US22, runs large)
Cardigan by Old Navy (no longer available, size 3X)
Black leggings from Old Navy (size 3X)
Merona pumps from Target (no longer available)

It’s no surprise that I LOVE this top. I have a ridiculous obsession with ASOS and with sequins, and this item did not disappoint. So much fun. Something I wouldn’t purchase because I’d worry I wouldn’t get enough wear out of it, but I’m excited to wear it a few times before sending it back.

Lands End Plus Size Ponte Dress from Gwynnie Bee

Ponte knit dress with pockets by Lands End via Gwynnie Bee (Size 3X)
Moon and Lola necklace from Olive You Boutique
Merona pumps from Target (no longer available)

This dress is made of a ponte knit that is SO YUMMY. And who doesn’t love pockets? I also love that it’s the 2013 color of the year, Emerald. This could easily be a 3-season dress, and I just checked on Lands End and it’s on sale for $29.99! I’ve already ordered it in 2 colors. Can’t wait to pair it with leggings and a denim jacket, or with contrasting tights and pumps.

ASOS Curve Lace Tunic from Gwynnie Bee

Tunic with lace inset by ASOS via Gwynnie Bee (size US22 – runs large)
Old Navy Leggings, size 3X
Merona pumps from Target (no longer available)

I love Gwynnie Bee not only because I’m introduced to new staples like the Lands End dress above, but also because it’s a no-risk way to try things totally out of my comfort zone like this tunic. It is a fun item to wear a few times and then send back. I get to have fun with things like this and not have to buy them. Can’t argue with that.

Want to check out Gwynnie Bee for yourself? You can try out their service for 30 days – completely risk-free. This offer applies to the 1, 2 and 3 garment plans. Do you have a favorite of any of these outfits?

  • Sara Davidson

I was going to say, that green dress – you need to buy it yesterday. Does it come in women’s sizes too?

  • Jessica

yes, The green dress on you is gorgeous!

    • Emily Sandford

      Thanks Jessica!

      • Julia

Love the Lands End dress on you …. thank you for sharing! I have ordered three different colours and can’t wait to try them on!

        • Emily Sandford

ooh, hope you love them! I ended up ordering it in this green and in the royal blue color.

  • Slim Style Secrets

I’m loving the sequin top…très chic!

    • Emily Sandford

      Thank you

  • Crystal

Kind of a random comment but I have a question about the tags on the Land’s End dress. Is it sewn down on the neck or is it a flop tag? I get serious irritation on my neck from tags :(

  • Going Loopy

Green! (I do like the gold sparkly tank too). I am also loving me some Gwynnie Bee!

    • Emily Sandford

Thanks! What is your favorite piece from Gwynnie Bee so far?

      • Going Loopy

I just started this month, but I really liked the Alma top in the blue print a lot…I have a few things in my closet that I’m SOOOOO excited to try (the wild & crazy SWAK Designs dress, for one; the Igigi Ninelle for two).

        • Emily Sandford

YES, the Alma top is great!

  • Sandy Prater

That first outfit is just gorgeous. The gold looks great with your skintone, and you can really see the lost inches in your stomach. Looking fab, gal.

    • Emily Sandford

      Thank you!

  • Laurie

Would you say the green dress run true to size? I think I need one, too!!!

    • Emily Sandford

I think it does. Based on the reviews on Lands End, some people find it big in the waist, but I have a thicker waist so didn’t encounter that problem.

  • LHA

You look beautiful! I am a big Lands End shopper and will check out that dress for sure. I also have to say how much I admire you for being such a positive role model for women of all shapes and sizes who want to dress stylishly. You find great fashions, pass on what you have found, and model it beautifully! I think anyone could take a cue from you. You have a great fashion sense and let everyone know that they can rock some great looks. Good for you! Thanks for a great blog.

    • Emily Sandford

I think everyone needs that dress – it comes in several colors as well!
And thank you so much for your kind words. I really, really appreciate them!

  • Rose

Emmie – you look amazing in Gold!! I know you may be worried that you wouldn’t wear it often enough, but that warm hue and shine really suits you. :)

    • Emily Sandford

thank you Rose! Gold is something i dont wear much, so maybe I’ll try more!

  • Laurie

The green dress is definitely my favorite! Have you ever loved something so much from GB that you’ve gone out and bought it? I was really tempted with the Donna dress and the Igigi Phoebe cardigan.

    • Emily Sandford

yes! I actually just bought 2 of the lands end dresses (green and blue) and the Phoebe cardigan in black last weekend when Igigi was having a super bowl sale! Those are great wardrobe builders.

  • Rachel

Hi Emily, you guys in the states are sooo lucky: you have all kinds of programs that us, in Canada absolutely don’t have!

I will go and check it out just in case it’s available in Canada… Thanks for the info!

    • Emily Sandford

Hi Rachel! I think they’re trying to figure out how to expand it. RIght now, shipping costs are just too high to go international.

  • Prpleflwr
