A few days ago I mentioned that Old Navy Skinnies were on sale. I am trying to up my casual wear since I seem to wear dresses 80% of the time. My biggest trepidation with skinny pants is my lower stomach, so I decided to layer with longer tops to give me coverage so I'd be more comfortable. I usually disregard statement tees, but I loved this “start living your dreams” tee since that's pretty much my motto these days. The tee had a good length to it, but to make it more appropriate for cool weather, I added this Old Navy boyfriend cardigan. I thought the blue would contrast well with the green in the snakeskin Rockstar Printed jeans.
(pardon another “holding the wall up” pose –
it's hard to balance with my orthotic boot!)

I really liked how it turned out! I think the print of the pant is subtle enough to function as a neutral. Also, there was enough stretch in the pants so I was comfortable when sitting, so that's a bonus. Skinny doesn't have to mean skin tight.
I'm curious to try the tuxedo stripe skinny and the coated skinny, which has a leather-like sheen.
Now through 10/2, Old Navy Skinnies in all sizes (including plus) are on sale starting at $19 in the US and Canada. Skinnies not your thing? They have other cuts as well. My normal go-to is bootcut.
Are skinnies making an appearance in your wardrobe this fall?
