You know how there are some outfits that you put on that make you feel great? (If not, you should!) This outfit makes me feel like a polished, put-together woman who is out to conquer the world. This is due to 2 major elements: my new Alesya bag and my Gwynnie Bee coat.
I primarily work out of my home office, but I have the itch to get out and get into a different environment once in a while. My laptop always goes with me, and it’s essential to have a bag that can carry it, plus file folders, pens, and all the regular junk in my handbag. Plus, it needs to look good.
I own 3 Alesya bags, which have been ALL OVER this blog since 2011! When Alesya released this brand new style, I drooled over it but hesitated. I already had 3. They’ve gone all over the country with me (so perfect for travel.) Sure, they were a different style, but they achieved the function I needed. Then I thought how I’m still carrying my original 2011 Alesya bag today, and finally bought it for myself for Christmas. Zero regrets! The leather is gorgeous, the construction in perfect, and the pockets and organization are even better than before. Even if I’m not carrying around my laptop, I still want to carry the bag.
Then, let’s talk about this coat. It’s my Olivia Pope coat (a reference you’ll only understand if you watch ‘Scandal’). I received it in my Gwynnie Bee subscription last year and purchased it right away because I couldn’t part with it. I was so excited when the weather got a little cooler, because it meant I could finally pull this coat out again and wear it. While it has short sleeves, it’s still really warm, and fully lined.
