Last week, I ventured to New York City where I got to hang out with the awesome people at Gwynnie Bee. I always love going to NYC. Growing up, I swore I would run away from Kentucky to live in the big city. As it often happens with #adulting, I've become much more practical. Low cost of living and NYC only a direct flight away? For now, I'm happy with visiting NYC a few times a year.
I've been a Gwynnie Bee member since April 2012, and have tried over 600 garments from them. Ridiculous, right?! They have been a huge part of my style transformation over the past few years as I've been able to try new brands and styles that I wouldn't have before. While I was there, I was able to film a Facebook Live video showing off 8 of my favorite GB looks from the past 4+ years. We had some audio issues so the live stream wasn't quite working, but the video is now available on YouTube! It's about 15 minutes long, so if you have some time, I'd love if you'd give it a watch.
For those who aren't familiar with Gwynnie Bee: They're a clothing subscription service for sizes 10-32. You add items to your closet, and they send you a selection of items based on what's available. You can wear them as many times as you want, and then send them back (or purchase it) and get new items. All shipping, exchanges, and cleaning is covered in the monthly subscription. You can see hundreds of my outfits from Gwynnie Bee in my gallery here. Best of all: they have a 30 day free trial so you can see if the service is for you.
Thanks so much to Lisa at GB for making the Live experience easy. I've known her for years and she's one of the most vibrant personalities you'll meet.
Lisa's also a fan of selfies, so we get along swimmingly!
I'm wearing an IGIGI dress from Gwynnie Bee (naturally)

Hanging out in Madison Square Park. The weather got considerably better after day 1!
Also on my trip, I was able to try on several styles coming soon to their site. My reviews of these items will be on their site when they launch. I bet you can tell how I felt about this one:
Sassy.
I stayed at a hotel near Times Square (read my review on TripAdvisor), and there was a nice little rooftop terrace. I went up there my last night and I was the only one up there. It's interesting to look out at a city of millions and feel like the world is pretty small. We're all just doing our best to get by 🙂
Thanks to Gwynnie Bee for this fun experience. If you have questions about anything in the video or just want to say hello, leave me a comment below.
