*and exhale*
This week has gone by at rapid-fire pace. I feel like I've been sucked in a time warp and haven't been able to blog much.
Outfits of the week: I've been posting these over on Facebook at the request of some people, but I'll put them here also. It's amazing how much dressing nice can affect your mood in a positive way. I've really been in a funk of sorts mentally- not really sure what's going on. So, I tried to make myself feel better by picking out these outfits this week. I'm trying to stretch the use of some of my summer items into fall because it's just not feasible to keep buying new clothes every time I drop a size. I'm going to take several items to a tailor this week to see how we can improve the fit.
Also this week, I had 2 occasions to go out with friends, new and old. I rarely go out on weeknights (and even weekends for that matter, I'm quite content at home), but this week had me feeling like a social butterfly.
First up was a girls night at Amber's. Amber is a new friend, and I got to meet all of her girlfriends over healthy appetizers. It was a lot of fun!
And then last night was the March of Dimes Signature Chef Auction courtesy of my friend Kelly Anne. I was proud that I didn't bid on any of the amazing packages they had, and also because I didn't eat too poorly. There were Lexington's top chef's at stations around the ballroom and you sampled their food and voted for your favorite. There were surprisingly quite a few low carb options for me. Dessert was plated, and I knew that I would eat this:
You guys can make fun of me all you want, but that chocolate covered bacon was good! Savory and sweet rolled into one! I happily passed on the cheesecake pops and peanut butter and jelly tarts to eat my bacon.
So far this week, I've gotten all of my workouts in, however my legs are really bothering me. Not the muscles, just tension in the legs and fatigue. They are retaining water like CRAZY and I don't know how to make it better. (Yes, the sodium from the bacon probably didn't help). Going to keep chugging my water and will use my foam roller to see if that can help loosen things up.
So, there's my ramblings for tonight. Up ahead this weekend? An exciting time of cleaning the house with the hubs! He's off this weekend and we've decided to divide and conquer the dust bunnies and floor boards. I would like to put my Christmas tree up this weekend, but not sure if he'll agree with me on that one.
