I know this blog sounds like a walking commercial for Old Navy lately, and I promise that's not how it's intended! With my changing size, I have to go for budget basics, and I've found Old Navy a great place to grab some items.
Anyway, you all know I'm a freak about plus size workout clothes. I have major frustrations with the complete lack of quality, well-fitting activewear for plus sizes. Major.
When I saw Old Navy had a new line of compression gear, I was excited. Of course my bubble burst when I realized they only had the pants and a couple of hoodies in the Active line for plus. But I tried these pants anyway, as I always seem to never have enough workout pants.
Verdict? I give them a solid B+. The material feels fantastic, but some might find it too snug in the hips and thighs, depending on how you like your clothes to fit. Based on the reviews on the item page, there seems to be consistency problems with the length. Someone 5'5 said they were too short, yet I'm 5'10 and they're nearly too long. I love that they put the hidden zip pocket in the back of the waist for your keys and such while running. Also, they don't lose their shape, which is something I, a sufferer of dumpy-butt, can appreciate. (These photos were taken just after a workout). At $29.94, I think they're a solid buy, and available in 1X-4X. I'm wearing the 3X.
