Today is another installment of seeing what's in my closet. I got a new box of Gwynnie Bee arrivals and they are perfect for the holiday activities coming up. For those who don't know Gwynnie Bee: It's like Netflix for awesome clothes. Choose your subscription level for how many pieces you want “checked out” at a time. When you're done, send them back and they send out another item from your virtual closet. Super easy, and the clothes are ones from designers I normally buy from. I love it so much because instead of buying special pieces I'd only wear a couple of times and then letting them languish in my closet, I can now just send it back! Perfect also if you're changing sizes and don't want to invest in a new wardrobe for each size. Check my other Gwynnie Bee posts here.
Anyway, here are the 3 items from my latest box and why I chose them.
I have been eyeing this gorgeous dress from Kiyonna for a while, but wasn't quite sure if it'd look right. As soon as I saw it on Gwynnie Bee, I knew I had to try it. I love it so much. The length is perfectly right below the knee, the 3/4 sleeves add some coverage for the winter, but the sheerness of them keeps it sexy. The lace is soft and flowing. It's a twirling dress for sure. Here, I've paired it with some old black Merona brand pumps from Target and a pair of earrings I bought last week at a boutique called Olive You in Richmond, KY.
My sequin obsession is no secret, so this eloquii by The Limited black blazer with sequin sleeves was a must-have in my closet. It would look amazing with wide leg black pants. I don't have any, so I paired it with Old Navy skinny jeans and black pumps. It is a super flattering jacket with a single hook and eye closure at the narrowest part of the waist. Necklace also from Olive You in Richmond, KY. Black camisole under the blazer is about 3 years old from Kiyonna.
Having a dress and a blazer in my virtual closet, I wanted to have something more casual when running errands and such. Enter this buttery-soft multi-way top from Kiyonna via Gwynnie Bee. It can be worn off both shoulders, off one shoulder, or as a wide neck cowl. It's a tunic length and so comfortable. Wearing it with bootcut jeans from Old Navy, black pumps, and my Olive You earrings.
So again, another home run of items that showed up on my doorstep. They're going to get lots of use over the next few weeks.
Gwynnie Bee has a 30-day free trial (up to 3 items out at a time) that you can sign up for by the end of the month. It's a great time to try it if you're on the fence. Cancel within the 30 days, send your items back to them, and you won't be charged a thing. You can also just request an invite and browse the collection before signing up for a trial, this way you can see if you like the pieces. To request an invite or sign up for the trial, go to this site and tell them that Skinny Emmie referred you.
FTC Disclosure: If you sign up for Gwynnie Bee and mention my name, I get credit towards my subscription costs. This is a service I paid for before all of that, so honestly if you don’t sign up through me, no sweat! I just want people to know about it, regardless.
