Here in Lexington, there are small pockets of town that have experienced a resurgence in recent years, and a notable example of that is Jefferson Street. Sitting on the corner of downtown, Jefferson Street is a colorful mix of great local restaurants and bars, offices in old buildings, pretty homes, and is super close to Rupp Arena and other downtown attractions. It made sense when my friend/photographer Emily recommended going there to take some outfit photos in some new Gwynnie Bee arrivals. (See all Gwynnie Bee posts here.) I was excited that there were a variety of settings in a very short distance as my ankle has me hobbling most the time and I only wear these shoes for photos.

Of all these looks, I love the IGIGI dress and the striped maxi dress the best. The IGIGI dress is pretty and professional without being boring. I plan on wearing it to a presentation I'm giving next week to a professional group. The striped maxi has been worn so many times this week. It's so comfortable and I love the colors and print. The Kiyonna top is really comfortable but I don't have any bottoms other than jeans that look right with it, and I really am not a fan of wearing jeans in the summer. I liked the color of the LucieLu dress, but am not a fan of the pleated bottom that starts at the empire waist.
Also, I've become a little obsessed with ASOS Curve Skater Dresses, so we took some photos of 3 that I bought recently. I'll write more about them in a separate post. We got a couple in front of one of my favorite restaurants, Stella's Kentucky Deli.

Do you have any favorite pieces of clothes right now that are go-to's in your closet? For me, it's maxi dresses.
