My style is pretty consistent. I like florals, wrap dresses, and maxis. I felt completely out of my comfort zone when I got this ASOS Curve (their plus size brand) Knit Skirt from a Gwynnie Bee shipment. First, it's knit and fitted. Around the body part I get most squirmy about, my hips. Second, it's short. Above the knee by a bit. I'm not used to wearing skirts this short, and when I was getting out of my car, I legit think I flashed one of the attorneys walking to the nearby courthouse. Just call me Grace. Third, it's print. On my bottom. These are all personal hangups of mine, and I figured it was time to just get over it.
Old Navy Tee (less than $8 on sale! I'm wearing the XXL Tall)

Here's the thing about going out of your comfort zone: it can sometimes be liberating. As soon as I saw the photos, this became one of my favorite recent outfits. It's easy comfortable, and even though it's a little different from what I normally wear, it's a different sort of confidence. Maybe I need to push myself more often!
