When I saw this cape dress, I was intrigued. The silhouette was different and considering I usually always do a maxi dress or fit & flare, I was excited by the concept of something new. I thought it could go horribly wrong or incredibly right. I got this in a Gwynnie Bee shipment (more about Gwynnie Bee here), so no risk to try it and send it back.
MYNT 1792 Theadora Dress c/o Gwynnie Bee (purchase here), wearing size 26, 5'10
Munro Robyn Boot
Earrings – don’t even remember brand – old! – similar
I was so pleasantly surprised by this dress. I loved the print and details, like the faux button detail on one shoulder. The fit was good, and the fabrics were nice. I didn't get any photos of the back, but there's a contrast zipper with a blue trim that was a funky detail. The dress would have been great with some high heels, but I went more casual with my favorite booties. My feet and high heels aren't on the best terms right now!
This was a super fun, unique dress, and the brand, MYNT 1792, is the same that also made this surprisingly great red dress I recently tried. So excited that there are an increasing number of options in the plus size space to push me out of my comfort zone.
