Leapin' lizards, it is HOT outside! Cue my favorite summer staple: the maxi dress. They feel like pajamas, can catch a breeze, are comfortable, and look cute – why would you NOT love them?!

Maxi dresses can be dressed up or down with accessories (and you know I love my accessories!) I went for a little more shine with some gold jewelry and a bag as equally bright as the print on the dress.
Sizing notes: I'm 5'10 and wearing the 3 in the chevron print, and the 4 in the medallion print (below). These are both generously cut in the waist and hips, so I'd focus on bust measurement when choosing a size.

Denim is a great layering piece for maxi's. To transition into cooler weather, you could tie up a chambray shirt, add a denim vest, or go with a denim jacket.
