Confession: When I pulled this out of my Gwynnie Bee shipment, I went YAY!!! Then I put it on and went “OH HELL NO!” Then I forgot to send it back when I was sending some other items back and decided to give it one more try before putting it in the blue bag back to GB. And for some reason I went YAY when it was on.
tl;dr: I was wishy-washy on this dress but now love it.

This tunic/dress is from City Chic, which is the same brand of the minty fit & flare dress I just posted last week. Unlike that one, this has stretch in the fabric and it's super comfortable. I love the range of styles from this brand! The silhouette here is different – from the zip front to the pleated/exaggerated hips and pockets. It would be great with tights and boots later in the fall, maybe with a denim jacket?
It's so interesting to feel good in something that is draped at the bottom to give that tulip/bell shape. I spent so long really disliking the bottom half of my body. Go figure!?
I think if this were a solid color (which City Chic does have – see the end of this post) I'd buy it from my Gwynnie Bee closet. But since the print is so distinctive, I'm just going to wear it a couple more times and then send it back. The beauty of clothing subscription!
