So the other day, I scored an outfit trifecta. My dress, earrings, and bag made exactly the impact I wanted. The reason I sound surprised is that sometimes I put on an outfit and look at photos later to realize that there were elements that could have been improved. This one had a few things that could have gone wrong: the yellow would look bad on my skin, the ruffles would be too over-the-top, the earrings would clash too much, and the bag was brand new and I wasn't sure of the scale. It all came together though, and is one of my favorite looks ever.

As I was walking out of the pharmacy I stopped at just after taking these photos, a gaggle of teenage girls was walking by and one stopped to tell me how much she loved my dress. Why validation from a teenager is so rewarding is beyond me!

The details are gorgeous! I've gotten compliments on this bag nearly everywhere I go. It's the perfect size to fit what I need (I may have even stashed my Macbook in it a time or two), but not too overwhelming. If you'd prefer not to carry it by the handles, there is also a long strap you can attach. I usually keep it tucked inside the bag for quick access should I need to sling it over my shoulder. This usually happens when I'm double-fisting my coffee and a water bottle, haha.
