Man alive, I'm tired of this faux fall! The calendar (and pumpkin spice lattes) say it's fall, but this heat is bananas! Hopefully the weather will cool off soon and we can start layering.
This Leota faux wrap dress was in a recent Gwynnie Bee box and I threw on my favorite denim jacket for a casual look. Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Gwynnie Bee and contains affiliate links. I loved this vivid petunia print. As soon as I saw these photos, I thought how good it would look with a cropped leather jacket and some boots for the fall and winter. Not in this heat, though!
I found this dress ran larger than other Leota items, but I think it's because the cut is different. It's meant to be sort of drapey across the top. I have a large bust, so it wasn't really gaping open, but I could see it being a problem for others.
With Gwynnie Bee, you can wear and return items, or you can buy them. This dress was a nice fun injection of color into my wardrobe for a couple of wears, but I ended up sending it back as I wasn't overly enthusiastic about the fit. I am going to add it back to my Gwynnie Bee closet in a size down from this to see how it works. If you've never tried GB before, I highly recommend their free trial. You get 30 days of 2 items out at a time with unlimited exchanges, shipping both ways, and dry cleaning. If you don't like the service, you can cancel online in a couple of clicks before the 30 days is up and not be charged – just make sure to send any items you have back to them! It's a fun way to experiment with new brands and styles for free. If you're like me, you'll love it and end up replacing the majority of your wardrobe with GB pieces!
