I've talked before about how jeans and I have a complicated relationship. I want to love them, but they usually let me down. Good news is I've found not one, but two new denim friends.
(P.S. – Make sure to catch my note at the end of this post for the details of how you can come shopping with me!)
Embroidered Mesh Overpiece, Lane Bryant
V-Neck Swing Tank, Lane Bryant
Lane Bryant has introduced their new line of denim with a Flex Magic Waistband. I don't know how this magic works, but there's no gaping at the waist, but it also is super comfortable and forgiving. I have no idea how this happens, but I had to try it myself to believe it. There are 4 different fits to work for your body shape, and each has multiple cuts from skinny to bootcut.
My problem with jeans are that I can find ones that fit ok in the hips, but they end up digging in my waist. Then, they somehow get droopy but still remain tight at the waist. Or, if I find jeans that fit my waist, it will somehow stretch out during the day and I find myself yanking my jeans back up to where they should be.
Not the case with these jeans! Here, I'm wearing the Signature super stretch fit, which is for those who are in proportion with their hips and thighs. I went with the skinny leg because I love how versatile it is, but especially with larger, flowier tops as I'm wearing here. I also tried and love the Deluxe fit, which is for those who are fuller in the waist, but smaller in the hip and thigh. I have a bonus post coming up with those plus more I picked up at Lane Bryant. Their stuff right now is GOOD.
The true test as to how much I'd like these jeans was wearing them for an entire day. Usually, after a few hours, I want to rip them off and go pantsless instead of staying uncomfortable. Not the case with these. They wore comfortably all day, and the waistband didn't stretch out as I'd feared. I guess after selling 35 million pairs of denim since 2000, Lane Bryant knows what they're doing.
I also must interrupt my denim crush to mention this swing tank and mesh overpiece. My obsession with yellow is still in full effect, and I love how easy and comfortable this is. If you like longer tops and struggle to find them, there are a lot of options at Lane Bryant right now.
Come shop with me at Lane Bryant!
If you're near Louisville, come hang out with me on Saturday, August 17th at Lane Bryant in the Paddock Shops between 2-4pm. I'm really excited to have the opportunity to be in-store with people helping them find fantastic denim and other looks. I went to the store last week to try on the denim and ended up trying on so many great things! I haven't tried on that many things in a dressing room since I worked at Lane Bryant waaaayyyy back in the day during college. Come on out and bring your friends!
