Hands down, one of the most size-inclusive brands is Universal Standard, with sizes 00-40. I share their styles so much because they consistently fit my body at a size 28 and have quality fabrics. While I love to buy many statement pieces, prints, ruffles, swishy dresses, etc., the items I reach for on repeat are from Universal Standard.
They are having a Memorial Day sale through May 28th May 29th with a rare site-wide discount of 30% off. Plus, you can use my code INFS-AMBAUTHEMMIE for an extra 10% off.
I wanted to share a few new pieces I picked up from US. Some of these are items I have already from years past in other colors, which should show you how often I reach for these classic styles.
Promenade Linen Jumpsuit (see below for a previous version I've had for at least 3 years)
I understand that not everyone wants their arms out – the Kelsey denim jacket is such a flexible layering piece.
Foundation V Neck Long Sleeve Tee
Carrie High Rise Wide Leg Jeans
I don't hear it talked about often, but I am obsessed with all things in the Foundation line at US. I wear these tops multiple times per week – long sleeve, short sleeve, tanks, and even sleep in the dresses. It's a very thin ribbed fabric that is extra stretchy but doesn't stretch out. Many people use them as underlayers for full outfits, but I love wearing them on their own because of their comfort and shape.
Below is a short sleeve Foundation tee with the same Carrie jeans.
The next dress was a real surprise winner. I looked at it several times before buying it. I liked the concept but couldn't tell well enough with the website photos how it would look on me. It turns out that it's the same lovely stretch jersey material as the Athena above, and it is so comfortable but looks so chic, IMO.
Palermo Divine Jersey Wrap Dress
I bought the next dress based on color alone – the verdant green sold me. It turns out that the fit is just as good as the color (and if it's not your color, they have it in the blue color of the Palermo and Athena dresses.) The fabric is a thick pima cotton knit with a little stretch. the sleeves can be rolled up and there's a hidden tab and button to keep them in place. (I don't have them secured in this quick photo, but wore it that way yesterday and it was great.)
Suffolk Pima Cotton Shirtdress
The original dress that put Universal Standard on the map is the Geneva. It has an asymmetrical hem with a unique fabric gathering. I've tried it a couple of times in different versions because I love it on other people, but it never felt right on me. US just released a one-shoulder version, and I had to try it – so happy I did!
