As I mentioned last night, the remaining 2 days of the cruise were spent at sea due to Hurricane Earl. We had lots of fun though! We ended up playing a few rounds of trivia (and winning one of them), going to the casino (we're very conservative gamblers), looking through the shops, and just relaxing on the promenade where we could just sit and watch the water.
We also watched a towel-folding demonstration. At first, I thought these famed towel-animals would be cheesy, but I really thought they were cute! I learned how to make the swan, but can't figure out how to do anything else!
We participated in a scavenger hunt type of game show, which was lots of fun. After the game show, the cruise director had everyone go up to the pool deck where they were having a dance party and we did a flash mob of the Cupid Shuffle. Then followed the Macarena and the Cha Cha Slide. I have no shame and did them all, with the assistance of a dirty martini with extra olives.
While at sea, I also sang karaoke twice. My camera-challenged husband tried to take pictures, but he didn't succeed. They had lots of obscure songs, so I ended up singing Gavin DeGraw's “I don't wanna be” (which went over with a thud) and the more successful “I'll Be” by Edwin McCain.
The last night at sea was pretty rough due to some Hurricane Earl-induced waves, but we tried to catch the sunset. Clouds obstructed our view, but it was still pretty:
That's about all for our vacation activities!
