I’m doing it
I am asking begging you to watch this video as to the why. I’ll wait until you’re finished to see the rest of this post.
Done? Awesome, thanks!
So, I’m going to do the RunTheBluegrass half-marathon in memory of my mom on the 4th anniversary of her death on the same day from complications of Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease.
I’m doing it to honor all of those people who CAN’T do it for physical limitations beyond their control.
I’m doing it to honor ME as a gift to myself 2 days before my 30th birthday.
My fundraising goal is $2,500 to the Kentucky Neuroscience Institute here at the University of Kentucky to go towards supporting clinical research that may lead to better treatment options for Parkinson’s patients.
3 4 ways you can help:
- Register to do the half-marathon or 5K. Emotional support is great!
