They sit there, haunting me. Making me remember the good ol days of being a child laughing with my mom with teeth full of Thin Mint remnants.
Perched on top of the refrigerator (ironically next to the protein powder), they look at me and taunt like cruel kids in the playground.
I used to sneak these. Yes, I was a food sneaker. I could cut slivers off of pies or make cookies disappear at a rate where I didn't think anyone would notice, yet I would end up with an entire sleeve of cookies under my bed. I distinctly remember that you can eat these cookies without taking bites of them. They were perfect to shove in your mouth whole, making them very efficient to eat.
The peanut butter sandwich ones (orange box) are hubs' favorites. He can eat 2 and put them down. The caramel delites on the right are my favorite. They were my mom's favorite also. I want to smell them, inhale their coconut and chocolate scent, and eat the box in one sitting.
Tomorrow, they'll be gone – out of sight, but not consumed (by me at least). I had 2 caramel delites and the binge monster started to rear its head. I haven't felt that in so long (thankfully) and it was uncomfortable enough to ask hubs to get rid of them somehow (we were supporting his niece's troop… or so we said).
