Greetings from Portland, Oregon where I'm still here long after my FitBloggin' friends have headed home. I stayed to attend World Domination Summit (which isn't what it sounds like), which kicks off tomorrow night. It's been tough not being able to just go home and process what happened at FitBloggin, but when I think about it, all I have is joy and thankfulness. This is part 1 in a series of FitBloggin' posts.
You know things will be fun when you're greeted with this at the airport (Dubyawife with Fit and Free Emily), along with a group of about 6 other awesome FitBloggers!
Me and Dubyawife – her head included
We all hopped on the MAX and headed towards the hotel, all just jabbering away like crazy. It's rare to have those kinds of friendships where you can just pick up where you left off, and it's like a blast of awesomeness when it all comes together like that.

I scrambled around a bit Thursday afternoon trying to ready things for the fashion show I was organizing for Friday. It was interesting going into the welcome mixer because it felt like there were a slew of new faces from previous FitBloggin's, probably since it was on the west coast this year. I loved that aspect – got to finally meet some people I have been reading for ages, such as Keep it Up David:
The first night, Lisa of 110pounds.com stopped by the hotel so I finally got to hug her. She snapped this photo of me and Carla (one of my favorite people ever), and it's appropriate it came out fuzzy because it was such a fun, exciting, busy night:
Lots of hugs and a trip to the rooftop bar with Alan and Dacia later, and it was lights out for a fun weekend ahead!
