I really dislike when people try to quote fashion rules. If you're a plus woman, people say you shouldn't wear horizontal stripes, sleeveless tops, or skinny jeans. I call poppycock.
Three cute casual looks with Old Navy Skinnies
I'm working on being more creative with casual outfits. My dress to denim ratio is probably 80/20, and for cooler weather, jeans and layers are much more practical. I love skinnies because I can tuck them into my wide calf boots for a great look. I can also wear them with booties. If I were to wear my normal bootcut jeans, they would overshadow the booties and the width of the leg would mean hiding the knee-high boots.
Old Navy has a wide range of skinnies on sale now in lots of sizes, colors, and prints. They have some with tuxedo stripes, snakeskin, other prints, and the current coated denim trend. I'm going to try some of the Old Navy Skinnies in an upcoming post to see how I can up my casual-wear. Now through 10/2, plus size skinnies are on sale starting at $19 in the US and Canada online at Old Navy.
Do you wear skinny jeans/pants? If so, what do you pair with them? I need some style inspiration!
