One of the biggest questions I get is about where to find plus size workout clothes. Since many of you have new goals for the new year, I thought it might be a good time to share some resources. I've posted about my workout clothes frustration several times, most recently in November 2012.
Lola Getts Active: This is a line of fashionable performance workout apparel that has sizes 14-24. The line appeared this morning on Good Morning America, and they are having an AMAZING deal associated with that. The regular prices range from $57-$119, the discounted prices on this limited Good Morning America special range from $23-$48 and a flat rate shipping fee. Find the special prices here. The code is GMA, and the deal goes through January 11th.
Taffy Activewear: Taffy provides plus size workout clothes in sizes 14-24 with a focus on style, fit, and comfort at an affordable price point. They are the Official Sponsor & Preferred Fitness Wear of Miss Plus USA (anyone else want to wear a tiara?) and in addition to finding them online, you can also now find their items in select TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores. They also participated in the FitBloggin' fashion show last year, which was pure awesome.
Old Navy: Old Navy is still a great source of workout clothes since they go to size 30. Some of their sizing is a bit weird, so you might have to try a bit to get it right. Find their plus size workout options here. They are having a sale through the end of today, January 9th.
Enell Sports Bras: I can't ever talk about workout clothes without talking about ENELL bras. I seriously don't know if I'd ever have really started working out without finding them. The last thing you want to worry about when working out is your boobs flopping everywhere. With sizes that range roughly from 32C-52G, they provide zero bounce. They're having a big set of giveaways this month on Facebook by sharing resolutions. Find out more here. Disclosure: I do work with them through my consulting company, but they have not asked or paid for me to mention them. I just couldn't even imagine my workouts without them.
Where do you buy your plus size workout clothes?
PS: In tiny type because it's scary to talk about. If you listened to my interview on the Launch Yourself podcast, you may have heard what I'm up to in order to solve my workout clothes dilemmas. While all of these brands are great and fill a huge gap in the plus size workout market, I have certain things I want to see. So, I'm developing my own line. I have no timeline to announce as it's in its infancy, but just wanted to throw it out there as it's something I'm really excited about. Things could all fall apart and it might not launch, but you never know until you try, right?
