My style is usually fairly polished and conservative. I'm not a conservative person, but I find comfort in wrap dresses, maxis, and of course florals and lace.
This outfit is none of those things!
My last name is Ho (my dad is Chinese), so when I saw this ASOS Curve shirt, I busted out laughing and bought it immediately. It was just perfect for my post-divorce mindset. I forgot how much fun it is to have this last name.
Shirt, ASOS Curve
Jacket, ASOS Curve
Skirt, Torrid (old – similar)
Tights, We Love Colors
Boots, Munro
Bag c/o French Connection (no longer available – similar)
Also, I have been lusting after this leather jacket from ASOS Curve for months, and I swooped it up during a recent sale. It has gorgeous seaming and zipper details, and I think I've worn it every day since it hit my doorstep.
At first I paired this with black Teggings, but then remembered I had some fun We Love Colors tights that I haven't worn yet this year. Such a contrast with my hair.

Speaking of the hair! It's SO BRIGHT but will fade quite a bit. My man Jason at Cha Cha's in Lexington did his thing and I think it's so fun. We had done pink twice before, but there wasn't enough punch to it to make it very visible. He added red to the pink this time, and the result is what I initially was calling “Flaming Hot Cheetos.” I love the cut as well – it's more asymmetric than usual, and the shape is super easy to style. If you're looking for a place to get amazing hair done, I can't recommend Cha Cha's enough – everyone there is so talented. And if you're a guy (or have a guy) wanting a true barbershop experience and straight razor shave, Rooster's Nest is awesome. Plus, they have a glitter floor that I lust after every time I see it.
This pushing outside-the-box is pretty fun!
