I'm a fan of texture in items, and when this Taylor dress from my Gwynnie Bee subscription arrived, I was so happy to see the white mesh over the black fabric. It was an interesting texture that give some more personality to a standard fit & flare dress.

This sleeveless dress is good for warmer weather, but as we're falling into the low 60s, I added a really old faux leather jacket for another layer. The oversized clutch is a few years old but I love the size and texture of the materials.

I loved this dress so much that I styled it an entirely different way this past week for going to the Prelude to the Breeders Cup (horse racing). I paired it with a cropped black shrug, black flats, and a big black fascinator. I tend to wear floral to the races, but I liked that this was graphic and felt a little less “sweet” while still being appropriate. I had a little bit of a panic when trying to think of what to wear to the event, then I realized I had 4 potential Gwynnie Bee options sitting in a box. I wore it, and dropped it back in the mail the next day. Easy!
