Wherever you are, sending you lots of love and warm wishes for a great holiday season!
These were my holiday cards this year. Admittedly I only sent out a few (time totally escaped me), but they're funny to me, nonetheless. From Emily McDowell Studio. I pretty much would buy her entire store if I could.

I also wanted to send a quick note to those of you who are alone this year – whether you're literally alone or you feel alone because you're not supported by the people around you. I know you feel like the only person who is alone right now. I get it. I spent Christmas Eve by myself with thoughts flickering from “man, this is so relaxing! I'm glad I don't have to deal with family drama!” to “what is wrong with me as a person that I'm alone right now?” The thoughts are natural. Many of us have them. But know that churning in your stomach where you feel like you're the only person alone this time of year? You aren't. I'm with you. We're awesome and valuable human beings who for whatever reason don't have people around us right this minute. It's not a character flaw, just a circumstance. I've had to go back to my “lonely season” post a few times to remind myself of things I can do to just enjoy the quiet time that I have right now. Treat yourself. Love yourself. You deserve it.

As for me tonight, I've got my jammies on, pup by my side, fake fireplace burning on the TV, and I'm about to open some wine and watch a movie. Cheers!
