I don't know what the weather is doing these days. One week it was nearly 80 degrees, and the next it was barely hitting 50. We turned out our heat for the first time this weekend (anyone else try to hold off as long as possible?) and realized the upstairs furnace in the house wasn't working. Thankfully, it's back up and running and I can warm up… just in time for the temperatures to go back up again. So fickle, that weather!
This also means that my closet is in a state of flux. Some of my summer stuff is still in there, and some of my winter items are mixed in, but it's a crapshoot as to what will be appropriate for one day to the next. My Gwynnie Bee subscription has been the only reason there are somewhat appropriate transitional items in my closet! Here are a few of my GB looks from October:

This outfit consisted of both my top and skirt from a Gwynnie Bee box, but actually, it's not a top at all – it's a dress! The floral shift dress looked a little too snug for my comfort in the hips, and it was a little too short. But I loved the print, so I threw this Alice & You skirt over it and loved the result. I added my favorite denim jacket.
Catching the wind!
This velvet skirt is everything to me right now. I'm obsessed with all things velvet – I just hung velvet curtains in the living room, and am currently eyeing velvet chairs. This skirt will be a borrow-and-buy piece from my GB box. The dress was sent back after wearing this paring. Love the flexibility of the membership for this reason!
Jete Festival Dress in Brine Olive from my GB Subscription
Next up is this olive maxi dress from Gwynnie Bee that I've worn for over a month now. It's comfortable and I love the color. It's sleeveless, so I paired it with a really old Alfani jacket and some black booties when I got to see Glennon Doyle speak at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Lexington last week. (LOVE HER.)
Society+ Vest from my GB Subscription
Karen Kane dress
This Society+ vest was something I've eyed on others, always thinking it was nice on them, but not for me. When GB got it in, I knew I had to give it a try since there was no risk and I could just wear and return if I wasn't a fan. Surprisingly, I loved it. Mega loved it. I paired it with my favorite Karen Kane basic black dress and it felt really luxe with all the draping. I'm hanging onto this one for a little while longer.
