I'm the first to admit that I skew to the side of overdressed for many things. It's not that I want to be dressier all the time, it's that I don't have as many great fitting casual outfits as I do dresses. This version of casual is right up my alley: jeans, a tank top, and lightweight topper.
Shirt length always seems to be an issue with me and my long torso, but Catherines shirts always hit the right spot. This black tank is a wardrobe staple. Bonus that it doesn't wrinkle and washes very easily.
A tank and jeans become infinitely more versatile by throwing a cardigan or topper on it. The embroidery on the sheer fabric is gorgeous! I was immediately drawn to the pattern and colors.
With the tank and jeans, I could easily swap out this cardigan for the kimono or the white denim from this casual jumpsuit post. In fact, I think I'm going to wear the same jeans and tank with the leopard print kimono from the jumpsuit post.
The dark wash on these bootcut jeans means they're easy to dress up or down. They have a good amount of stretch to them, so they're comfortable all day but also don't give me dumpy butt. You know what I mean, right?! The sag in the tush from stretching out over the day.
Comfy flats completed the look.
