Whether you're ready for it or not, we're in the full swing of the holiday season. Half of my Christmas trees are up already because we're headed out of town for Thanksgiving this year. There was no way I was going to wait until December to put them up!
Rainbow Fringe Wrap
ComfySoft Crisscross Tunic (in 4 colors)
Ponte Knit Legging
Good Soles Classic Riding Boot
(if you'd rather do booties, try the Good Soles Slouch Ankle Boot – I suggest going up 1 size in these, but not the riding boots)
We're heading east to have Thanksgiving with Steve's family. I've not had a Thanksgiving or Christmas this far away from home as an adult. Me being the person that I am, I wanted to have an outfit that was appropriate for the occasion. I'm not to the point with his family yet where I feel comfortable breaking out the most broken-in pair of sweatpants and an oversized tee for chowing down. I still want to be comfortable, though!
This is not only my go-to casual Thanksgiving look this year, but it's also a fall and winter staple formula: super comfortable leggings, a tunic top, and cozy wrap. People think you have it all together when really, you feel like you're wearing pajamas and a warm blanket. It's a triumph, really. The layering is nice as well, so you can bundle up or cool off as needed. Or if you're like me, use the wrap to protect yourself from the food that I'll inevitably drop on my boobs. Happens every.single.time.
Catherines is always my go-to for comfortable styles that look nice. They have great basics as well as special pieces like the wrap. The metal and faux leather toggle is just the right addition to elevate the wrap. Think of it as built-in jewelry – one less thing to pack for the trip.
This is a variation on this Catherines look that has been in heavy rotation since I shared it last month. Their wrap/poncho/kimono game is strong. I have some more looks from Catherines that will take you through the entire holiday season – I can't wait to share them with you!
Are you staying at home or traveling for the holidays?
