If you've been following me on Instagram stories or have been around here for a while, you know I'm all about holiday decor. I don't decorate for any other seasons or occasions beyond Christmas, so I really pull out all the stops. I really find a lot of fun and joy from putting up the decorations and then enjoying them all season long.
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Catherines. All opinions are 100% mine.
This outfit from Catherines is perfect for trimming the tree(s) or lounging and reading a book with some coffee. The sweater is so cozy and soft, and the leggings are really versatile. I think this is the 3rd blog post I've featured them in, and I just got home from Virginia for Thanksgiving and took 2 pairs with me! Catherines also has a seamless fleece legging that is really soft and cozy, but I'd suggest sizing up 1-2 sizes.
Ruby didn't want to be far from the action in these photos. She's not as enthused about the decor as she is to be near me. The 12-foot tree in the living room eats into her space to play fetch!
The tall tree is decorated in a magnolia theme, which was inspired by my mom, who loved Christmas trees and was from the deep south. I've collected tree decorations over the past 10 or so years so I could one day have enough to really go extravagant on tree decorations. This year, we have 5 trees.
Steve isn't a Christmas decorations guy, but he is an MVP for hauling all the trees and decorations from the basement for me to put up, and he vacuums up the trails of glitter that end up everywhere. He and Ruby are a great support team and stay out of my way otherwise!
I also wanted to call out these shoes from Catherines. I don't have a lot of casual shoes that are easy to throw on and run to the mailbox or to the store, but I find myself grabbing these Mary Jane Stretch Shoes more and more. Don't sleep on Catherines shoe selection right now – they also have some of my favorite boots this year!
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! If you want to see more of my Christmas decorations, I'll have a full post coming up in a bit. You can also check out my saved Instagram Story highlight featuring the process of putting up some of the decor this year.
Do you decorate for the holidays? Anyone else enjoy staying in with a cozy sweater than heading to a bunch of parties?
