Hi friends! Have you lost count of how many days you've been social distancing/quarantining? I completely have. No matter what day it is, all I know is that it feels like it's been forever, and also like no time at all has passed. The weeks are flying by so quickly, in my opinion!
This week, I should have been in the Florida Keys on vacation, but obviously that didn't happen. Instead, I took some socially distant photos of some styles from Catherines. This is the first of 3 outfits I'll share in coming days, all focused around styles that will have you lounging at home in comfort, but that you can also transition very stylishly when we all can socialize again.
When I first saw the Cobblestone Maxi dress on the Catherines site, I had high hopes. It looked so comfortable, and it absolutely didn't disappoint. The fabric is so soft and easy to wear, and I love that it's easily layer-able, or worn on its own.
The day we shot these photos, it was unseasonably cool. I added a classic jean jacket that I featured in this March post. I've reached for it quite often as the nights have been cool and I wanted to spend as much time on the back porch as possible. You could easily style this dress with a cardigan, shawl, or even a long kimono.
The drawstring detail at the waist is great for adding a little shape to the dress while maintaining comfort. I styled this with some canvas sneakers that I discovered hiding in my closet during a decluttering spree. Really though, any shoes could be worn with this: colorful fashion sneakers, flip flops, wedge espadrilles, or ballet flats would all be super cute.
I plan on cozying up in this dress over the weekend and finishing my current read: Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner.
And finally, if the cozy comfy factor wasn't enough, it looks like at the time of me writing this post, the dress is on sale for under $30! It's available in Catherines 0X-5X, plus a petite option! I'm wearing the 3X.
Here's to a relaxing weekend.
