Relief is:
-
image via TinyTall on Flickr Learning that even if it takes me more than 4 hours, I will have an official RunTheBluegrass half-marathon time. It was really weighing hard on my mind, so I simply asked if official times would go over 4 hours (the cutoff from last years race). Thanks to the awesome new race managers, it is no problem.
- Exceeding my fundraising goal! Tonight, we hit $2,603 – $103 OVER my fundraising goal! I am incredibly grateful to each person who donated, tweeted, posted, told friends, and gave me encouraging words. I am behind on my thank you notes, so if you haven't gotten one yet, please know that you will! I can't wait to hand over our check to the Kentucky Neuroscience Institute at the University of Kentucky. If you still want to donate, please do!!! There's no limit to how much we can give 🙂
- Knowing I won't be the only tired one on race day, considering UK plays in the Final Four late the night before!
I can go to sleep tonight with dreams of a Parkinson's cure and no more fear about the ticking clock on half marathon day. *Exhale.* Can't wait to pop the theoretical (or perhaps literal) champagne bottle when the half is done! I hope one day I can meet each one of you who are helping me and give you a big ol' Emmie hug.
xoxo
