Hi friends. Here in Kentucky we seem to have skipped spring and gone straight into summer. Thankfully it has cooled off a little today so I can stop fanning myself like Karl Lagerfeld.
Anyway, I've searched high and low for a light 3/4 sleeved cardigan. I think they are super versatile and can be worn nearly any season and dressed up or down. My favorites used to be some from Old Navy, however the fabric of them has changed and they don't hold their shape. They were some sort of blend with a spandex, and now they're 100% cotton. I've tried several of them recently and none of them can match the shape and fabric of their old ones.
I had tried other cardi's from Lands End (not many 3/4 sleeve options and they're all heavier fabrics), Talbots (too expensive), and Lane Bryant (meh quality). I have a cardigan from Kiyonna that I like, but I still wanted something a little thinner. I started feeling like Goldilocks who couldn't find the right bowl of porridge. (or is it size bed? I have no idea, my nursery rhymes are extremely rusty).
Last week I started my cardi search again over at OneStopPlus since they have all sorts of designers aggregated there. I ended up getting a cardigan from SWAK (Sealed with a Kiss) Designs
SWAK Lily Cardigan, on sale for $34.99 and available in 1x (14/16) to 6x (34/36)
Comes in several colors including ivory, black, red, teal
Sorry for the awful computer snapshot. I'm wearing the ivory Lily Cardigan in 3x (22/24) with one of my Rachel Pally dresses
I'm so glad I found this cardi. It IS fitted and cropped, so if you want a more generous fit, go 1 size up. That being said, I think it's flattering being more fitted and not really long. It is a very thin fabric, a poly/rayon/spandex blend which is holding its shape well. Haven't washed it yet, but hopefully it will hold up and keep shape. If it holds up, I'm going to get it in black and teal next.
