Is it just me or is 2013 flying by insanely fast? Hanging on tight as the days whiz pass!
Today at the gym we did a Tabata-style workout which included one of my favorite things: battle ropes! They're hard but you feel pretty bad ass when you're done with them.
Earlier in the week, I finally added some chain to my glute bridges. I've always been afraid of adding weight, but was able to handle it and it was a good non-scale victory. Over on the Skinny Emmie Facebook page, it seems that chains reminded everyone of “50 Shades of Gray,” which made me laugh.
In addition to the ropes and chains, I also did a FitnessGlo workout at home. I will post a review and giveaway on that later next week.
Also this week, I finally tried ordering off the Panera “Hidden Menu.” I have zero idea why they keep it hidden considering I would have stopped avoiding Panera like the plague if I knew about this earlier. For those of you who don't eat gluten, the options are great.
Power Breakfast Egg Bowl with Steak
This is from last week but I didn't share it here yet: JCPenney has a line of activewear called Xersion and they have some items in plus size. All of the items are really inexpensive and fun. I have kind of been living in this bright neon mesh-sleeved sweatshirt. You all know how obsessed I am with plus size activewear, so I'm excited for this.
Neon is one trend from the 80's that I don't mind coming back.
