My husband is a simple guy. He's a nurse, so he wears scrubs to work. When he's not at work, you'll normally find him in some type of University of Kentucky apparel: tees, sweatshirts, and his favorite: his “Show Sweatpants” with the UK on the leg. (I have no idea why they're called that, maybe something with the brand? Who knows.) He owns 2 pairs of chino pants he bought for our cruise a couple years ago, but since then has lost 90 or so pounds. Needless to say, they're too baggy now.
So when I was approached to get someone to review the new Dockers® brand Game Day Khakis collection and I saw that UK was on the list of 10 college partners, I knew I had a reasons to 1) get my husband on the blog; 2) get him a pair of khaki's that he would actually wear. Score! (The other colleges available are Louisiana State University, University of Minnesota, Oregon State University, Texas A&M University, University of Georgia, University of Illinois, University of Michigan, University of Missouri and Washington State University.)
This is about as dressed up as he's been in 2 years. Score!
The UK is subtle, but it's there!
He didn't understand why I needed “a picture of my butt.”
Me: “Stare off into space!” Him: “What?!”
The pants were a little baggy, so we'll try a smaller size next time. The cobalt blue looked great against the navy sweater, so they're a versatile color while remaining true to his UK-allegiance. I was just happy that he was wearing pants that weren't sweats. It was a win/win for all! If for some reason your guy doesn't want them in the school's signature color, they're all available in the signature khaki color as well.
Anyone else have a hard time getting their significant others dressed up!?
