Welcome to the second edition of Transparent Tuesday. We remove the rosy filters from social media to reveal the pretty unglamorous parts of life. Want to participate? Tag #transparenttuesday and leave your link in the comments!
Want to know one of my biggest insecurities? (Hint: It's not my weight) My psoriasis. I have it really horribly on my scalp, along the hairline, and behind my ears. Big scabby gross things that make it look like I have horrible dandruff. I thought eliminating gluten would help as it's an auto-immune thing (like my awesome Hashimotos), but 6 months later and it's not a lick better.
My psoriasis on my scalp is flared up like crazy. This means nice scaly skin and scabs on my scalp and behind my ears. It's worst right now along the hairline. Blech.
Other transparent transgressions:
- Due to weather and also lack of energy, I hadn't left the house in 3 days prior to today. Insanity. Feeling like a slug.
- I have lots of projects on my plate, yet keep taking more on or keep coming up with BIG ideas. It's like I do it to torture myself, yet I can't give anything up. #controlfreak
- Today I'm wearing the same outfit I wore yesterday. A sweatshirt dress. Glamorous.
- Last week I was so excited that my car made it up my steep, snowy driveway that I pet the steering wheel and called it a “good girl.” Like it was my dog.
Anyone else OVER winter? I should also admit I spent 2 hours over the weekend watching “Island Hunters” and “Beachfront Bargain Hunt” while searching for tropical vacations online. Take me away, Calgon.
