Earlier this summer when I saw that there were some wide leg printed pants making their way back into the mainstream, I got really excited. My mom used to wear these sorts of pants in the early 90s and I remember them with fondness. I had a bit of trepidation in wearing them because of the print, but I knew I had to try them.

This is seriously one of my favorite outfits of the summer, by far, and it’s from SWAK Designs. I was really worried how these pants would photograph around my stomach, because it’s something I’ve been a little sensitive about lately. But the above photo is probably one of my favorites in the past several months. For those who try to follow plus size fashion “rules,” I say (as always) POPPYCOCK. It’s totally bull. A sleeveless top and a printed wide leg pant making up an outfit favorite? Yep.

Speaking of the top, I LOVE this one. You can’t tell here, but it’s got a slight racerback. I was a little worried about this as I don’t love a strapless or convertible bra, but I’m able to pull back my bra straps and not have them show on this shirt. The knit is like butter, and the draping is great. This top comes in a few different colors, and I now want every single one of them.
I love SWAK because their designs are fashion-forward, reasonably priced, and best of all, come in sizes 14-36! Having been a size 32 before and totally unable to find clothes above a size 24, I appreciate this so much. It’s extremely rare. Want to try SWAK for yourself? Here’s your chance to win $100 to spend there. $100 would buy both this awesome top AND pants, plus you’d have extra left over. Score!
