I couldn't resist. I had to bring in some Billy Madison to this post. I know I wear dresses ALL.THE.TIME. With fall quickly approaching, I'm trying to be conscious of working more jeans and pants into my wardrobe. The current sporty chic trend was a good excuse to give it a go in conjunction with back-to-school time. Plus, Old Navy has some crazy deals going on so I grabbed some casual pieces for this sporty back-to-school inspired look.

This is an awful lot of mixing of school-like things. Rugby tee shirt, varsity-inspired jacket, denim, and a typewriter-inspired purse (though I know that's seriously old-school). I think this would have been cute with some Keds or Converse sneakers. But the polka dot print on the flats is a fun contrast to all the stripes.
