Anyone else wondering where time is going? I can't believe it's Friday – the week flew by. Thanks to all the positive feedback about my Transparent Tuesday post. It makes discussing the topic of depression so much easier knowing how many of us are going through the same things.
I was going through my photos on my phone and saw a few that never got shared, so I figured they I'd share 5 with some random snippets of late:
1. The weather here in Kentucky has been pretty cool, and this morning was just beautiful. I snapped this from Jacobson Park after I took some outfit photos with my photographer, Emily Moseley. We usually shoot multiple outfits at a time, and today we shot 3. I usually get pretty sweaty, but the weather was perfect and I don't think I had a sweat-stache once!
2. One of my besties had her bachelorette party in Nashville a few weekends ago. It was so fun! I've had this City Chic dress in my closet for a while now, but nowhere to wear it to. It is TIGHT (I'm wearing the 24 – largest they go), it was awkward sitting down and I might have flashed half of Nashville getting in and out of the cab, but I felt great. The bag and shoes are totally not ideal, but I had forgotten to bring a clutch and I knew we'd be walking so I didn't want to chance wearing heels with my ankle.
3. I'm loving these temporary tattoos from Jess Lively. She calls them Intention Tattoos and there are 6 different sayings. They're great reminders without being irreversible.
4. I went to Montana recently for a meeting, and had a run in with this Bison in an underground, turn-of-the-century saloon. I kid you not. It was really fascinating underground! There was an old bordello, Chinese laundry, and opium den. Who knew?!
5. I am was a Starbucks addict. For years, I've been going nearly DAILY for a venti black eye with cream. A black eye is coffee with 2 shots of espresso. A red eye is a coffee with 1 shot. A blue eye is a coffee with 3 shots. I never got bad enough to need a blue eye. Anyway, I've been reading about Bulletproof Coffee for months, and thought it must be 1) the most disgusting thing ever; 2) certainly not worth the hype. You see, Bulletproof Coffee is brewed coffee with grass fed butter and MCT oil. MCT stands for medium chain triglyceride, and coconut oil is an example of an MCT oil. Or you can buy MCT oil that doesn't have flavor. You throw it all in a blender and it whips up into this frothy-topped cup of joy. I've been doing this for over 4 weeks now. Seriously NO STARBUCKS COFFEE IN 4 WEEKS… AFTER A MUTLI-YEAR HABIT! It's delicious, gives me long-lasting, stable (not shaky) energy, and I don't miss my Starbucks at all. It's crazy.
Hope you have a great weekend!
