Sometimes you put together an outfit that achieves a look that has eluded you forever. Combine that with being in one of the most holiday cheer-filled places in Lexington and you've got one extremely happy Emmie.

These photos were taken on a visit to Hillenmeyer Christmas Shop. I'd never been there, yet I pass it nearly everyday in Lansdowne shopping center. From Tates Creek Road it just looks like a wooden shed, but when you see it from the other side, you know it will be special before you even enter.
Not only do they have some of the most lush Christmas trees, wreaths, and other garlands; they also have things the whole family can enjoy. I wanted to sit on this bench and drink their cider and roast marshmallows for the entire morning. They also have a live nativity (with animals!) and SANTA!
I didn't pose with Santa, but did take a look at his sleigh. Nice ride!
On the outfit front, this one makes me happy because my casual game can be pretty weak. The bright colors in this shirt were a welcome modern take on plaid. I added my old faithful down vest, jeans, and even a chunky scarf (in photo above) for a cozy, comfortable look.
Have you been to Hillenmeyer Christmas Shop? I hope to be back again this season!
