Before I share these holiday looks from Catherines, I wanted to share a little note about my history with the brand. Back in high school, my mom worked at Catherines. She loved helping plus size women find clothes. I always begrudged shopping there, because who wants to shop where your mom shops?! Still, I always appreciated their commitment to offering a large size range, even into extended plus (up to 34W). I have fond memories of visiting my mom in the store, and I even had my prom pictures taken outside the dressing rooms! My prom date was a good sport and understood why we had to go there since she was working and wanted to see us together.
I hadn't been back to Catherines since I was 18, until they reached out to see if I wanted to try some of their holiday looks. I ventured into the store, and to my surprise (perspective changes a lot in 16 years) I took 12 items into the dressing room. I shop online so much that I forgot how great it is to go into a store and find so many things that fit! With holiday gathering's in mind, I picked up these pieces.

This dress is a combo of textures and feels very luxe: ponte knit, faux suede, and faux leather. I paired it with some fun tights with dots (Catherine's always had great hosiery) and d'orsay pumps.
My visit to Catherine's still has me contemplating this cozy cowlneck sweater, this stunning long wrap dress, and this sheer lace blouse. Actually, I already went back and got the lace blouse 😁
