The fabulous Brittany of Brittany, Herself and the Curvy Girl Guide community has set up some body blogging prompts for August. As I sat down to try to eek out a #TransparentTuesday post yesterday around this, I had a complete mental roadblock and had to step away. Thus, a Transparent Wednesday post!
Prompt: “The Confidence Bucket List: Tell me about 10 things you hope to one day have the confidence to do.”
I've been considering revising my bucket list as my goals and priorities have changed somewhat since I first touched it YEARS ago (seriously, like 2010). Much of it was weight focused: lose 60 pounds, lose 100 pounds, lose 150 pounds… I've long since realized the scale doesn't motivated me. The idea of a fulfilled life without fear or limitations is what really moves me to action. My confidence has grown more since I left my corporate job and pursued my own path. It's also grown by leaps and bounds by embracing fashion for the body I have now. My original response to this question was “What? I have the confidence to do anything!” This is total bullshit – I was blatantly lying to myself. Now that the past 12 muddy months are over, this was a great prompt to help me clear the cobwebs and re-focus.
10 8 Things I Hope to One Day Have the Confidence to Do
(After busting my brain for hours, I only have 8. I know there are more in there somewhere. Items in no particular order.)
I know I'll likely come up with more. This was an exercise in being honest with myself and where my mindset and confidence is at this point in time.
