Counting down the days to Derby with my 3rd race day outfit idea from Macy's. The first one was great for a traditional spring feel, and also for Oaks, where pink reigns supreme. The second was full of polka dots and a pop of color. This one is probably my unexpected favorite!
Shop with me at Macy's on Saturday
Come see me tomorrow, April 20th from 1-3pm at Macy's Oxmoor Center in Louisville! I'm co-hosting a store-wide Get Ready for Race Day event. There will be DJs, a bluegrass band, nail art, Steel City Pops, giveaways, kids activities, and of course, great shopping. Plan on coming and want a $20 Macy's gift card? RSVP by sending me a message (either on Instagram, Facebook, or shoot me an email (emmie -at- authenticallyemmie -dotcom) and I'll add you to my list.) The first 5 people to check in with me that are on my list will receive a $20 Macy's gift card!
Bonus: Friday April 19 through Sunday May 5, Macy’s in Louisville will be hosting the Friends and Family Sale. Customers will receive an extra 30% off select clothing, shoes, accessories, jewelry, luggage and home items; 25% off select watches; 15% off any beauty purchases; and 10% off select small appliances, furniture, mattresses and rugs.

Since I had one outfit that was pink and floral, and one that was a little more preppy but still traditional, I wanted to do something totally different here. The result is probably my favorite of the 3! If you come to the Macy's event tomorrow, there's a strong possibility I'll be in this look.
A black, relatively simple fascinator like this one is a great way to go because you can wear it with so many styles. While the massive, very custom fascinators and hats are great, this one offers style flexibility, comfort, and affordability that will – bonus – last for years. Right now, it's on sale for under $41 using code SALE through 4/22. Available in black, white, and red.
These shoes are the same style I wore in my pink Derby look post, but they're a taupe snake print. Again for me, comfort is key. They have a low heel and are designed for comfort. At under $56 right now using code SALE through 4/22, I am going to pick them up in another color.
For styling purposes, I wanted to keep it fairly simple with a black clutch I already owned and some large matte gold earrings. The only pop of color comes from the red lipstick.
Which of the 3 looks is your favorite?
